Our Ocean in Crisis: You Can Help Turn the Tide

Seal pup.

This fall, scientists detailed the true extent of our ocean crisis.  As Upwelling and major media reported last month, our ocean ecosystems will be destroyed by 2048, leaving no fish at all, unless we do something--now.

The Farallones Marine Sanctuary Association is a local nonprofit dedicated to protecting the ocean and educating the next generation about our marine environment.

We cannot continue our programs without your support.

  • $60 will train 3 Beach Watch volunteers to be responders to an oil spill
  • $75 will enroll a high school student in our Sandy Beach research program
  • $100 will protect hundreds of Point Reyes harbor seal pups through our SEALS program
  • $150 will teach a visually impaired child to kayak and more during a week of Sea Camp
  • $500 will provide a full week of marine education to a school group

Making a tax-deductible donation to FMSA does more than sustain our successful programs.  You help stem the tide of our current ocean crisis.

"I wish everybody would take care of the ocean. I'm going to promise to tell other people about what I've learned about the ocean and wildlife so they'll want to take care of it, too."

--Sea Camp participant, age 8
