AT YOUR SCHOOL PROGRAMS

CRAB CAB
The Crab Cab is a 45-minute At Your School program for K-3rd graders on crab diversity and natural history. As with all At Your School Programs, there is a suggested $75.00 donation per program and mileage fees may apply. The Crab Cab Program is limited to one class at a time with a maximum of 24 students (minimum of 12); we strongly prefer to give 2-4 programs at a site in one day. It works best for us to set up in one space (an empty classroom, the auditorium, the gymnasium, etc) and have the classes come to us. We require a 30-minute set up time, 15 minutes between classes and at least 20 minutes to pack up our materials.

If you are interested in scheduling this program, please let us know how many programs you would like for your school, what grade(s) they would be for, when your school day starts, ends, and the timing of the lunch period and what time of year you would prefer (and specific dates, if you have them). Staff is most typically available to give Crab Cab programs on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Please keep in mind that we are limited by a small staff and budget and will try to accommodate as many requests as possible but the total number of programs we do at each school has to be limited to be able to serve as many schools as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

This program works best if you have time to do the pre-visit activities (especially the video and the map) with your class. These generally take about an hour. The Webs Under Waves program is limited to one class at a time with a maximum of 36 students (minimum of 15); we strongly prefer to give 2-3 programs at a site in one day. It works best for us to set up in one space (an empty classroom, the auditorium, the gymnasium, etc) and have the classes come to us.
