COMING ON OCTOBER 8, 2005!

OceanFest celebrates the Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary and its sister Sanctuaries as precious protected marine areas whose health is affected by your daily activities and is inextricably linked to that of the oceans around them and the world at large.

Festival Highlights

  • Free admission to a fun-filled day with the opportunity to become informed about how to protect our sanctuaries and ocean waters.
  • Sustainable seafood and organic vegetarian fare prepared by top Bay Area restaurants paired with a refreshing wine and beer tasting.
  • Live music.
  • An organic farmers' market featuring healthy produce and products that take the health of our oceans into consideration.
  • Interactive children's activities.
  • A raffle featuring a Baja kayaking expedition for two from Blue Waters Kayaking.
  • An informative and fun marine fair featuring Gulf of the Farallones and other National Marine Sanctuary exhibits, as well as those of other organizations from around the greater Bay Area.
