Summer is a great time to experience the diverse wildlife
of Gulf of the Farallones National
Marine Sanctuary. We focus on humpback whale sightings, hoping
to see the rare blue whale,
but may encounter harbor porpoise, seals, sea lions, elephant
seals or any other of the 36
species of marine mammals found in sanctuary waters. An excellent
place to look for seabirds;
shearwaters & cormorants and there’s a chance of
seeing the Tufted Puffin. White sharks begin
to appear, drawn by both juvenile and elephant seal pups.
Our knowledgeable naturalist will
lead us in an exciting journey of wildlife exploration and
discovery.
Weather permitting we'll see the Farallon Islands up close.
Departs from the San Francisco Marina. 7:30 a.m. -
4 p.m. Trips are $85 for non-members and $78 for
members.
Spaces are limited and fill up quickly.
