For Seadrift Residents
The South End of Bolinas Lagoon is one of the most unique and sensitive parts of the shoreline, and one of the last places where we still have room to act. It’s part of Seadrift’s common area, and right now we have a real opportunity to protect it – before rising tides and invasive plants do lasting damage.
The project is being led by the Greater Farallones Association, in partnership with the Seadrift Association, Marin County, and the Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary, to design a restoration effort that can protect this shoreline for the future. We want to hear from you.
Why Now?
This part of the Lagoon is under growing pressure from rising tides, invasive plants, and erosion. But with your input, we have a chance to:
- Restore healthy shoreline habitat for birds and wildlife
- Protect and stabilize the shoreline so it lasts longer
- Keep the trail, views, and natural beauty intact for years to come
- Create a project that reflects Seadrift’s values and stewardship
We’re in the design phase now, and we want to make sure the project reflects how you and your neighbors use the area and what you value most. Together, we have an opportunity to shape a shoreline that supports both the Lagoon and the Seadrift community now and into the future.
