Emily Ortzow
Marine Science Educator
Emily graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt in 2021 with a B.S. in Environmental Science and Management, and has led youth education programs and experiences for agencies like the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and East Bay Regional Parks District. Emily centers her work on making ecology and conservation science accessible to diverse audiences. Through this work, Emily earned recognition as the 2024 Outstanding New Interpreter Award from the National Association for Interpretation. With a strong foundation in the environmental sciences and a passion for connecting people with coastal and marine ecosystems, Emily is thrilled to support the stewardship goals of our local national marine sanctuaries!
