Monika Lynn Krach
Executive Director
Monika is the Executive Director of Greater Farallones Association. She earned her undergraduate degree in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University and master’s degree in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation from Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. Along with researching California’s coastal ecology, she studied invertebrates living in extreme environments, from deep-sea methane seep infauna to zooplankton in the icy waters of Antarctica. Monika has been with the Greater Farallones Association for 10 years and has held many roles, including LiMPETS Program Coordinator, Director of Development and Communications, and Deputy Director. She enjoys tidepooling, pretending she can dance, and watching action movies.
