GFA Executive Director Testifies Before U.S. House Subcommittee in Support of the Help Our Kelp Act

On March 21, our Executive Director, Deb Self, testified before the U.S. House Committee on Natural Resources’ Subcommittee on Water, Wildlife, and Fisheries in support of the Help Our Kelp Act.

This legislation was sponsored by U.S. Representative Jared Huffman (CA-02) and would establish a new grant program under the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to fund conservation, restoration, and management efforts focused on kelp forest ecosystems.
