Monika Lynn Krach
Executive Director
Monika Krach is the Executive Director of Greater Farallones Association. She has been with the organization for more than a decade, serving in a range of programmatic and leadership roles, including LiMPETS Program Coordinator, Director of Development and Communications, and Deputy Director before becoming Executive Director. Her leadership experience includes expertise in nonprofit financial management, governance, organizational strategy, fundraising, and program development. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History, where she chairs the Audit Committee.
Monika holds a B.A. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University and a master’s in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation from Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego. Her scientific background spans California coastal ecology and marine organisms living in extreme environments, from infaunal communities at deep-sea methane seeps to zooplankton in Antarctic waters.
Outside of work, Monika enjoys tidepooling with her husband and two children.
