Why is nature our best bet for adapting to sea level rise? Join us to learn more about nature-based habitat restoration, exciting techniques called “living shorelines,”and our efforts to showcase them in the South End Living Shoreline Project. Learn how helping nature take its course can: 1) improve critical wetland, marsh, and upland habitat for native plants and wildlife, 2) reduce flooding and erosion, 3) minimize climate change impacts from storms and sea level rise, and 4) support the health, function, and resilience of Bolinas Lagoon’s ecosystem. We hope you join us!

This was the second event of the online event series, taking attendees on a virtual tour of Bolinas Lagoon and surrounding areas! Swimming, soaring and strolling attendees learned about the area’s unique habitats, the challenges they face, and the solutions the Association and our partners are implementing., including the lagoon’s north and south ends, Kent Island, Seadrift Lagoon, and Stinson Beach.
